Abstract

This type of research in writing this thesis is qualitative research using a phenomological approach with descriptive research type. This data collection technique uses data collection tools, namely observation, interviews, and documentation. While the data analysis from the results of this study was carried out based on descriptive analysis, the analysis consisted of three lines of analysis, namely data reduction, categorization, and synthesis. The objectives of this study: (1) To describe the concept of interpersonal communication among students at SMP Negeri 1 Lamasi, (2) To determine the implementation of group guidance services to improve interpersonal communication among students at SMP Negeri 1 Lamasi. From the research results, the implementation of group guidance services at SMP Negeri 1 Lamasi includes the provision of group guidance services in the form of interpersonal communication. Group guidance services to improve interpersonal communication for students at SMP Negei 1 Lamasi are carried out well and according to student needs, in accordance with group guidance services, namely in order to add insight and develop their potential.
