Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement of student learning outcomes.The problem in this study is the student learning outcomes on chest pass material still low. The purpose of this study was to determine whether the use of audio visual media can improve the basic chest pass technique skills of students of SMAN 2 LUWU. This study used a qualitative approach with the type of classroom action research (CAR). The focus of this study is to improve the basic technique skills of chest pass in basketball games. The research subjects were teachers and students of class X IPA 2 SMAN 2 LUWU, which consist of thirty six people. The data were collected through observation, interviews, documentation and tests. The data is analyzed by using qualitative data analysis. The results of the research in cycle I indicate that the success indicator has not been achieved with a success percentage of 60%. In the second cycle the results of the study have reached the success indicator with a percentage of 80%. In conclusion, there is an improvement in students in physical education subjects through the application of audio visual media Keywords : Chest pass, audio visual, basketball
