Abstract

The importance of the processing industry roles in the process of economic development, especially in North Luwu Regency, is related to the conditions of economic development.. The profit level of an industry is a reflection of the success industry that will be able to fulfill its obligations and have more potential to develop. The development of an industry is largely influenced by its labors, the better the productivity of the labors, the more production it produces, which affects the employment in the area. In every region such as North Luwu Regency, implementation of development expects high economic growth that accompanied by equity, so that it will improve the public prosperity and quality of life. As it mentioned condition, community empowerment is very important so that the community in PT. Gangking Raya, North Luwu Regency is more empowered and can take advantage of its potential in existing processing resources. The analysis method in this research was simple linear regression method. The results showed that the value of t-count 3.609> t-table 2.010 and probability (sig t) 0.001 <0.05, it can be concluded that community empowerment has a positive and significant effect on the employment of PT. Gangking Raya, North Luwu Regency. Key words: community empowerment, employment
