Abstract
This study was conducted with the aim of examining the effect of (1) promotion on employee performance, (2) compensation on employee performance, and (3) promotion and compensation on employee performance at PAM Tirta Mankaluku, Palopo City. The research design used is quantitative. The subjects of this study were all permanent employees at PAM Tirta Mankaluku, Palopo City, totaling 70 people. The data collection technique used in this research is a survey with an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that there is a positive and significant effect of (1) job promotion on employee performance, (2) compensation has no significant effect on employee performance, and (3) promotion and compensation jointly affect the performance of PAM Tirta Mankaluku employees.
