Abstract

This study aims to improve dribbling skills in soccer through the zig-zag running method for seventh-grade students of SMP Negeri 3 Palopo. This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects were 32 students, consisting of 15 males and 17 females. Data were collected through observation, tests, and documentation. The results showed a significant improvement in students' dribbling abilities. In the first cycle, 72% of students achieved learning mastery, which increased to 94% in the second cycle. The zig￾zag running method proved effective in enhancing agility and ball control, positively impacting students' learning outcomes. Thus, this method can be used as an alternative in soccer teaching to improve students' dribbling skills. The study also suggests that variations in teaching methods can increase students' motivation and participation in physical education .
