Abstract

This study examines the influence of digital literacy and digital distraction control on self-regulated learning through self-efficacy as a mediating variable. This study employed a quantitative mediation-correlation approach using an explanatory cross-sectional method and involved 179 students from the Guidance and Counselling Programme at Muhammadiyah University of Palopo, selected via proportional random sampling. Data were collected through a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using SEM-PLS with SmartPLS 4.0. The results show that digital literacy (β = 0.350; p < 0.001) and digital distraction control (β = 0.355; p < 0.001) significantly influence self-efficacy, and digital literacy (β = 0.378; p < 0.001) and digital distraction control (β = 0.402; p < 0.001) significantly influence self-regulated learning. Self-efficacy also significantly affects self-regulated learning (β = 0.267; p < 0.001) and mediates the effects of digital literacy (β = 0.093; p < 0.001) and digital distraction control (β = 0.101; p < 0.001) on self-regulated learning.
