Abstract
ABSTRAK: The establishment of BUMDES is expected to be able to drive economic activities in the village which also function as social and commercial institutions. BUMDES as a social institution contributes to providing social services to the community, while as a commercial institution BUMDES aims to increase village income by seeking profit. This study aims to determine the effect of BUMDES on village economic development in Masamba District, North Luwu Regency. The independent variable in this study is village-owned enterprises (BUMDES) while the dependent variable is village economic development. The method of analysis used in this research is simple linear regression method. The results showed that the t count value was 7,198 and the probability value (sig t) was 0,000. Because the value of tcount 7,198> ttable 1,987 and probability (sig t) 0,000 <0.05, it can be concluded that BUMDES has a positive and significant effect on village economic development in Masamba District, North Luwu Regency. Key words: village-owned enterprises, village economic development.
