Abstract

This study aims to determine how the application of the use of card media in improving the ability to recognize the alphabet in group B children at Mandiri Salutubu. This research is a Classroom Action Research. The subjects of this study were the children of group B of TK Mandiri Salutubu, totaling 21 children. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and documentation techniques. This research was conducted in two cycles, each cycle lasted three meetings. The results showed that the application of using card media could improve the ability to recognize the alphabet in group B in Salutubu Mandiri Kindergarten. The results of observations before the action showed a percentage of 60.3%, in the first cycle it increased to 71.8% and in the second cycle the success indicator was 88.9%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of card media can improve the ability to recognize the alphabet in group B in TK Mandiri Salutubu.
