Abstract
Interest to learn is a feeling happy to do learning activities in the hope of giving satisfaction to something that has not been previously owned through various kinds of exercises so that the final result of learning is a relatively permanent change in behavior. Interest to learn is influenced by several factors, including parental support and teacher support. The method used is a quantitative research method. This study aimed to examine the effect of partial parental and teacher support on interest in learning and to examine the effect of parental support and teacher support simultaneously on interest to learn. The research subjects were 60 students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 10 Palopo. Sampling was selected by total sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that there is no significant effect between parental support on interest in learning, there is a significant relationship between teacher support on interest in learning. And if tested together, parental support and teacher support simultaneously have a significant effect on interest in learning. Keywords: parental support, teacher support, interest to learn
