Abstract

Pharmaceutical services are one of the essential services in a hospital. Storage and distribution of drugs is a process with unique problems in each hospital that is closely related to the quality of pharmaceutical services provided. This study aims to determine the implementation of Permenkes No. 72 of 2016 concerning storage and distribution of drugs at RS X, Palopo City. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, documentation, document studies and interviews with staff and pharmacists involved. The results of the study indicate that RS X, Palopo City has implemented several aspects in accordance with Permenkes, but there are still some obstacles. In this study, the results of the percentage of conformity of drug storage in the warehouse were 90% (Warehouses A and C), 83% (Warehouses B and E), and 81% (Warehouse D), which are included in the good category. While in the service depot, the percentage of conformity was 71% (inpatient), 75% (ICU), and 78% (outpatient), with sufficient and good categories. In the distribution process, conformity with Permenkes reached 100%. This study recommends improvements to the storage system, including improvements to space and facilities and infrastructure to maintain the quality of drugs until they reach the public.
