Abstract

The purpose of the study is to increase the effectiveness of learning Shot Put by using modified media bullets from plastic balls for fourth grade students at Sekolah Dasar Negeri 057 Teppo Desa Lawewe, Kecamatan Baebunta, Kabupaten Luwu Utara in academic year 2020/2021. This research used the Class Action Research Method (PTK). data sources in this research are all of students in the class four at Sekolah Dasar Negeri 057 Teppo Desa Lawewe, Kecamatan Baebunta, Kabupaten Luwu Utara by the amount of 18 students that consisted of 6 male students and 12 female students. Data collection techniques are through tests and observations of basic ability in shot put activities from the learning process. Data analysis techniques used in this research are descriptive based on qualitative analysis. This research procedure includes planning, acting, observation and reflecting. Data from the assessment of cycle I students who meet kkm standards by 35%, while in the second cycle 95% ( very good) after analyzed with the formula Hake's normalized gain and increased by 0.9 with high criteria (height gain). And it can be concluded that students' understanding of shot put material during cycles I and II increased significantly. Keywords: Shot Put, Bullets Modification, Plastic Balls
