Abstract

This thesis discusses about group counseling services with Self-Management techniques in class XI IPA at SMA Negeri 2 Luwu which influence the students' addiction to PUBG online games so they can control themselves in playing PUBG online games. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group counseling services with Self-Management techniques in reducing the adolescents’ addiction to PUBG online game in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Luwu. This research uses quantitative research methods and pre-experimental design approach with the form of one-group pretest-posttest design. The measurement scale uses the likert sca le and processed by statistical analysis (SPSS version 22.00) application,such as the validity test, reliability test and simple linear regression test (t-test and f-test). This study took 8 students who were in class XI IPA SMA Negeri 2 Luwu. Based on the linear regression test criteria on the level of significant probability, the t-test results showed sig.0.013 <0.05, so Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This means that there is a significant difference between the results of treatment before and after treatment. It turns out that the statement using group counseling services with self-management techniques shows that it is effective in reducing addiction to the PUBG online game at SMA Negeri 2 Luwu.
