Abstract

This article emphasizes the importance of developing 21st-century skills in the context of Industry 4.0 to optimize human resources for sustainable business. The paradigm shift in technology compels organizations to enhance employee skills to gain a competitive edge. Industry 4.0, as described by Klaus Schwab, demands a radical transformation in business and societal interactions. This study identifies Learning Innovation as a key tool for workforce preparedness in the face of rapid technological changes. Core competencies such as problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork are crucial for modern success. The research adopts a strategic approach to Human Resource Development (HRD), encompassing needs identification, training planning, and outcome assessment as a path to enhance skills and competencies. Ethical financial management aligned with sustainability is vital. Using qualitative analysis, this study investigates employee skill development strategies to promote business sustainability at PT. Hikma Bakti Persada. The findings suggest that continuous learning, leadership support, and partnerships with educational institutions are essential strategies to maintain a workforce adaptable to business dynamics, thus promoting competitiveness and innovation.
