Abstract

This study aims to improve the students’ ability in performing the forearm pass through cooperative learning models at Elementary School number 198 Pao. Classroom action research was conducted twice in the first and second cycles and was designed through four stages, namely planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. The data of this research includes 3 domains, which are psychomotor, affective, and cognitive. The subject and data sources of this research were 20 fifth grade students of Elementary School number 198 Pao. The data of this study are the ability to perform the forearm pass in volleyball games through cooperative learning models and were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The result of this research shows that the cooperative learning model can improve the ability to perform the forearm pass in volleyball games of the fifth-grade students at Elementary School number 198 Pao. There is a significant increase in the ability to perform the forearm pass through cooperative learning models in fifth-grade students at Elementary school number 198 Pao, in the first cycle there were 11 students with a percentage of 55% completion and the number of students who completed in the second cycle was 18 students with the percentage of 90%. The results of this study can be concluded that learning Physical Education, Sports, and Health through cooperative learning models can improve the ability in performing the forearm pass in volleyball games through cooperative learning models of the fifth-grade students at the Elementary school number 198 Pao.
