Abstract

Orangtua merupakan pendidik pertama dan utama paling dekat dengan anak. Kedudukan keluarga terutama orangtua sangatlah penting dan harus dimanfaatkan dengan sebaik-baiknya. Dalam hal ini perhatian orangtua dapat memberikan nilai yang memacu anak untuk memiliki kepercayaan diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh perhatian orangtua terhadap kepercayaan diri, variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah perhatian orangtua sebagai variabel independen (X) dan kepercayaan diri sebagai variabel dependen (Y) subjek pada penelitian ini adalah kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Bua dengan pengambilan sampel secara acak random sampling. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah teknik regresi linear sederhana. Hasil Penelitian ini memiliki pengaruh signifikan antara perhatian orangtua dengan kepercayaan diri siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 2 Bua yang ditunjukkan dengan nilai koefisien 1,046 dengan taraf nilai signifikansi 5% atau p (0,00<0,05). Uji signifikan menggunakan uji t diperoleh t-hitung sebesar 8,775. Dari output yang diperoleh R Square sebesar 0,467 sehingga dapat dikatakan bahwa variabel perhatian orangtua mempunyai pengaruh cukup kuat terhadap kepercayaan diri. Kata Kunci : Perhatian Orangtua, Kepercayaan Diri SMP Negeri 2 Bua ABSTRACT Parents are the first, primary and closest educators to children. The position of the family, especially parents, is very important and must be implemented as well as possible. In this case, parental attention can provide values that encourage children to have self-confidence. This study aimed to examine the effect of parental attention on self-confidence. The independent variable (X) in this study was parental attention. The dependent variable (Y) was self-confidence. The subject of this research was the students of class VIII at SMP Negeri 2 Bua. Sample was taken by random sampling. The data analysis technique was a simple linear regression technique. The results of this study have a significant effect between parental attention and self-confidence of the students of class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Bua as indicated by the coefficient value of 1.046 with a significance level of 5% or p (0.00 <0.05). Significant test using t-test obtained t-count of 8.775. From the output obtained by R Square of 0.467, it can be concluded that the parental attention variable has a strong enough influence on self-confidence.
