Abstract

Kata Kunci: Mahasiswa, Konseling Kelompok, Modeling, Self Efficacy This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the modeling technique group counseling to increase the self-efficacy of FKIP Muhammadiyah University Palopo students. This research is a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent control group design (posttest-posttest control group design). The study population was students of FKIP UMPalopo class 2017, 2018 and 2019. The sample was determined using purposive sampling technique with a total of 16 people. The data collection method is in the form of a questionnaire obtained from primary data sources with research data analysis using descriptive analysis and inferential analysis with SPSS version 20 for windows software. Based on the results of the descriptive analysis, it was obtained that the average posttest score of the experimental group using group counseling services with modeling techniques was greater than the average posttest of the control group using conventional counseling (94.75> 81.75). The results of inferential analysis using the Shapiro Wilk test obtained the Sig. (2-tailed) value of the Independent samples test for the posttest of the experimental group and the control group smaller than 0.05 (0.000 <0.05) and the value of tcount> ttable (7.184> 2.145) with The significance level is 0.05 which states that there is a difference in the average value between the two samples so that it can be concluded that the modeling technique group counseling is effective in increasing the self-efficacy of FKIP Muhammadiyah University Palopo students.
