Abstract

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of work ethic and work discipline variables on the performance of employees of PT. Jas Mulia in North Luwu Utara. the method used in this study is a quantitative methode. Data obtained from the distribution of questionnaires as many as 80 respondents who are also the research population. The data was processed using SPSS Version 24. The data analysis technique used to test this hypothesis is multiple linear regression which includes F test (simultaneous), t test (partial), and coefficient and determination test (R2). The result of the t-test study stated that the work ethic variable (X1) had a significant effect on employee performance (Y), the work discipline variable (X2) had no significant effect on employee performance (Y). While the result of the F (simultaneous) test of work ethic (X1) and work discipline (X2) variables with a significant 0.007 < 0.05 and a positive sign indicate that simultaneously has a significant influence on employee performance (Y). Keywords : work ethic, work discipline, and employee performance. INTISARI Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel etos kerja dan disiplin kerja terhadap kinerja karyawan PT. Jas Mulia Dikabupaten Luwu Utara. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif. Data diperoleh dari penyebaran kuesioner sebanyak 80 responden yang juga sebagai populasi penelitian data diolah menggunakan SPSS versi 24. Tekhnik analisis data yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis ini adalah regresi linear berganda yang mencakup uji F (simultan), Uji t (parsial), dan Uji koefisien dan determinasi (R2). Hasil penelitian uji t menyatakan bahwa variabel etos kerja (X1) berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y), variabel disiplin kerja (X2) tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan (Y). Sedangkan hasil uji F(simultan) variabel etos kerja (X1) dan Disiplin Kerja (X2) dengan signifikan 0.007 < 0.05 serta bertanda positif menunjukkan bahwa secara simultan mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan (Y). Kata kunci : etos kerja, disiplin kerja dan kinerja karyawan
